Captain - Mike Wheat
My name is Mike Wheat, the owner/operator of Hooked For Life, LLC. I am US Coast Guard licensed and insured. I grew up on the banks of the Kenai River and have been fishing these waters since childhood. I bought my first boat at age 14 and have been running one ever since.
In 1995, at the age of 17, I became a licensed guide and started taking drift boat charters. Since then, I have added a power boat and a saltwater boat to the fleet and have taken people fishing from all over the world.
I love what I do and take great pride in my work. I will do everything possible to make your trip enjoyable and successfuI. Let's go fishing!
Deckhand - Ryan Townsend
Ryan was born in Soldotna, AK and grew up on the Kenai Peninsula. He spent his childhood fishing and exploring these waters.
He currently lives in North Dakota with his family and teaches biology in the off season. He has a Dr, two masters, and a bacholers degree making him the most over qualified deckhand in the fleet.
His excitement and enthusium for fishing is infecteous and he is a wealth of knowledge to have on the boat.
Mike and Ryan have known each other for over 30 years and have fished together since childhood. They make a great team and will do everything possible to give you a fun and successful trip.
